Prof. (Dr.) Shardhanand Harinandan Singh is a distinguished scholar, educational policy adviser and an inter-disciplinary researcher who has over five decades of professional experience in inter-cultural education, psychosocial integration and community-based governance. Born in 1944 in Suriname and resident in the Netherlands, he has been instrumental in shaping multicultural policy, effecting transformative education policy and reform in Europe. He is also an Ayurvedic practitioner.

Dr. Singh is the founder of the academic paradigm of Girmitiyalogy (2025), which has given rise to an emerging inter-disciplinary field of study focused on the archival digitalization and genealogical restoration and ethical reinterpretation of Indian indentured labor migration in the context of Vedic Itihāsa (इतिहास).
