Master of Computer Science (MCS)

The Master of Computer Science (MCS) at the European Institute of Management & Technology (EIMT) is an 18-month program designed to help students build strong knowledge and outstanding practical skills in two key specialisations: Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Data Science, and Cybersecurity. The program combines core computer science learning, hands-on experience, research, and collaboration with industry leaders. The students become proficient in making intelligent systems, analysing complex data, and building secure digital solutions that prevent cyberattacks.

Computer scientists are the architects of future technology, which will impact business, healthcare, science, and everyday life. By acquiring an MCS degree, students will be able to tackle real-world computing problems, turn new ideas into products or services, and accelerate digital transformation across numerous sectors.

The program is delivered through a combination of theory and practice, comprising topics such as AI, data analytics, machine learning, software engineering, and network security. It motivates students to be innovative, problem-solvers, and critical thinkers, thereby equipping them with excellent career prospects in technology, data, and cybersecurity fields.

The MCS program employs a combination of teaching methods: lectures, discussions, hands-on labs, and projects aimed at developing students' theoretical and practical skills. Students engage with real-world issues related to AI, Data Science, and Cybersecurity through collaborative work, case studies, and industry-based projects, while being supported by expert guest lectures and online learning tools.

Post-completion of the master, you will be able to:

  • Use‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ theories from computer science, algorithmic principles, and data-driven methods to address real-world problems in AI & Data Science or Cybersecurity.

  • Create, implement, test, and upgrade intelligent or safe computing systems, programs, and products.

  • Break down complicated issues, figure out the computing and security needs, and come up with the most suitable technical solutions.

  • Employ up-to-date design and development methods to create software systems that are scalable, efficient, and secure in various ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌domains.

  • Implement and manage secure networks and software using cybersecurity tools and protocols to protect data, ensure compliance, and maintain system resilience.

  • Demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork skills for success in global tech environments.
